The NZ and OZ Commissions in Geneva ANZAC Day
The details are as follows:
ANZAC day picnic
Blaues Haus, Thalwil
24. & 25. January
When: 23 November 2014
Where: Forsthaus Chopfholz, Rüschlikon
We have a fantastic new location for the Christmas party at the Forsthaus Chopfholz in Rüschlikon. The Forsthaus was rebuilt in late 2012 after the previous waldhütte burnt down. The new waldhütte has received several acclaims in the architectural world for its design. While it is still a waldhütte it has been made a nice light, airy and comfortable space.
The afternoon will start with a crafts table for the kids and good chat for the adults while the wee nippers are occupied. Then the fat jolly fellow in red suit will fly in with gifts for the kids. After these have been given out we will end with a good afternoon tea.
When: 31 October 2014 / 19.00 - 23.00
Where: Zürich, Karl der Grosse
Are you an “ABC” (I’ll drink Anything But Chardonnay)? Or are you bored by the same old standards - Cabernet, Shiraz & Pinot Noir? Then this wine tasting is for you. Have you chug-a-lugged a “Ciliegiolo”, fiddled with a “Furmint”, mouthed a “Maratheftiko”, tampered with a “Tannat”, or toyed with a Touriga Nacional? With over 1000 different wine grape varieties, many of them lost for generations but now being rediscovered, the time is right to start widening your drinking horizons. This tasting will feature the up and coming ancient varieties newly discovered as well as a few first class super sweet wines at the end of the tasting.
Places are limited to 30 club members. To register check your email from the NZ Club sent on 7 October 2014.
